What organizations and programs are you involved with in the Richmond community?

“Special Olympics - An Athlete and also a Volunteer with Special Olympics for 13 years. 

Track and Field including Javelin and Softball.  

Favorite sport is Bocce.  

Went to the USA World Games twice – NJ 2014 and Seattle 2019.

All Around Best Athlete

Also was chosen to be in a video shoot to help recognize Chick-Fil-A as a sponsor

ARC South of the James Board Member for a long time  in various positions to provide support, advice and feedback to the Board regarding good decisions, ideas and perspectives for people with disabilities like myself

Are you employed or in school? If yes, where?

“Employed at SOAR 365 with the Maintenance and Landscaping Department on the Military Base. 

I Love my job and have a good salary.  I work a 40 hour week plus overtime, but I enjoy it.”

How are you capable – what things do you do best?

“I can do everything – everything!

I am a go-getter.  I work very hard and I work smart!

Even though I have a learning disability, I am very intelligent. 

I remember everything I am told and everything I hear.   

I am a team player. I love to lift the spirits of others and to motivate and encourage others.  

I am a good athlete, a role model and a leader.“

What do you want people to know about you?  

“I am all about peace and calmness and enjoying life.

I love to lift the spirits of others and to motivate and encourage others.  

I am caring, loveable, romantic.  

I am a good listener.  

I am funny with a great sense of humor.  

I make friends easily.

I am very helpful and I love to help people.  

If someone is upset, I am a supportive friend and helpful to others.  

I am always there for people to let them cry on my shoulder.“

If you could plan the perfect day, where would you go?

“I have always wanted to go to The Bahamas on a cruise boat.  I love the peaceful atmosphere, palm trees and beautiful water.

I would love to travel the world to see new things.  

I would love to take pictures of the historical side of places because I love the history of places.”

What do you like best about living in the Richmond area?

“I love the unique, historical parts of Richmond, especially the older historical homes such as The Virginia House, where I had my photo shoot.  

I loved that place!

 What goals do you have for the future?

“I would love to have a family of my own; maintain a good job and live in my own home.  I have the same goals that everyone else has. “
