What organizations and programs are you involved with in the Richmond community?
Special Olympics, Down Syndrome Association of Greater Richmond, 18 Years doing Karate, involved with SPARC for 6 years, participates with Free Horse cultural arts program, member of Swift Creek Baptist Church.
Are you employed or in school? If yes, where?
“I have worked for Estes Express Lines Trucking Company for 20 years and I volunteer at the Chesterfield Sheriffs Dept.”
How are you capable – what things do you do best?
“I am very good at: Office Work, Bagging Groceries, Sports(Basketball, Golf ,Softball, Bowling-Special Olympics), Dancing, Cooking, Being with Family and Friends.”
What do you want people to know about you?
David wants to be known for Being a kind person and a good friend, Making people laugh, Being a 4th degree Black Belt, Winning 2 Gold Medals in Ireland in 2003 Speed Skating for Team USA.
If you could plan the perfect day, where would you go?
Going to the Beach
What do you like best about living in the Richmond area?
Going to great Restaurants, Bowling at Bowl America with Special Olympics Friends, Living in his Group Home, Hanging out with his good Friends, going to movies.
What goals do you have for the future?
“Some of my goals are: to be more independent, Striving to stay more focused, being able to communicate my feelings better, Becoming a better Christian.”
