What organizations and programs are you involved with in the Richmond community?
“I was involved in Best Buddies and Special Olympics at GMU. I am alumni of the Next Move Program.”
Are you employed or in school? If yes, where?
“I graduated from Northstar Academy in 2015 and I went on to complete the four year program at Mason Life at GMU. I now work at Tablespoon Bakery as a baker.”
How are you capable – what things do you do best?
“I am Capable of living on my own with my roommate and with help from my parents. I go to the grocery store on my own and walk to physical therapy on my own. I am good at swimming, taking care of dogs and horses and good at art. Something I am really good at is remembering people’s names.”
What do you want people to know about you?
“I want to tell people that I have an Intellectual Disability and Bipolar. My disability makes hard to learn. But I like to be treated the same as everyone else.”
If you could plan the perfect day, where would you go?
“My perfect day would be going to Disney World with my boyfriend.”
What do you like best about living in the Richmond area?
“My favorite places in Richmond are going to the dog park, driving around the Hollywood cemetery with my friend Chandler and Bentley, walking at the river, drinking a Strawberry Refresher from Starbucks, eating at the my dad’s restaurant, The Hardshell, shopping at THE LOVE OF CHOCOLATE, and eating at Mexico Restaurant with my aunt.”
What goals do you have for the future?
“My goals for the future are I want to get married and get a service dog, working more hours, and working at the cookie camper.”
